AT EASE

 

 I am literally at ease:

 With the advent of November,

  And subsidence of the ubiquitous waves,

 A new fountain sprouts from the Al Nahda Pond Park,

 Garnishing the emergence of plentitude,

 Appealing mankind to get out of shells and shelves.

The Sheikh has been a romantic lover,

 Designing the pond in the shape of a footstep,

 Leading a cross-section of the world to an arena of tranquility;

 The swift clouds above pause and give a respectful salute ,

 The sun's rays shine amidst the rippling waters

 And the moon plays hide and seek as the clouds surge in the dark.

Migratory birds enrich the sanctity of the pond;

 Thousands cover thousands of miles along the walking and jogging paths ;

 Hundreds practise yoga and meditation beneath sundry trees ;

 Cats make stretches at intervals only to plunge into deep sleep,

 Rabbits receive cabbage leaves and leap to mounts as children watch,

 Owls, herons, ravens, cranes, humming birds, cuckoos, parrots and storks linger.

Doves convert the balconies into sites for procreation,

 And flower pots become cradles for their progeny ;

 The doves while hatching are at ease as I move onto the balcony

 To watch the safe landings of aircrafts at regular intervals,

 Bringing umpteen souls to be part of IPL, Twenty -20, Expo and Global Village,

 All hosted simultaneously by the makers of alien's destiny.

A park that provides ample parking slots around,

 A park that reassures human values and virtues,

 A park that cajoles and coaxes disturbed minds,

 A park that smoothens strained relations,

 A park that attracts both like and unlike poles alike,

 Al Nahda Pond Park serves the geographical centre of the Earth for sure!
